When you process a video using your own API key, video transcripts are sent directly from your browser to your selected AI provider (such as Google, Anthropic, or OpenAI). Transcripts do not pass through or get stored on Clip-Skip servers. Your API key is encrypted and stored locally in your browser.
Hosting and edge delivery run on Cloudflare; accounts and the Community Library database run on Supabase. For operational troubleshooting we keep error and app-health logs (account ID, coarse region, and error events — no IP addresses, no transcripts, no API keys).
Videos processed with your own key may be shared to the Community Library anonymously. Your identity is never shown. If you delete your account, your personal records (email, account ID) are permanently deleted, and any library metadata you contributed is decoupled from your identity and anonymized so it can no longer be linked back to you.
